The London/Surrey boundary. Banstead Downs

Banstead Downs

The London/Surrey/Sutton boundary comes across the edge the Banstead Downs crosses Sutton Lane and reaches the Brighton Road. It then turns south down the Brighton Road to the roundabout when it then turns southwest to follow the edge of the downs.

Area to the north of the small Surrey town of Banstead. Some 20th century housing alongside open space on the Downs.

Burdon Lane
Was a drove way across the common but was closed in the 1960s and became part of the golf course. It may be named after a local stream.
