Berwick Pond Road
Rainham Lodge Farm. Built on the site of North Lodge which had been built in 1575. Rainham Lodge itself was an 18th stuccoed building demolished in 1960. The late 18th garden gates and gate piers survive and are listed. It was the birthplace of Baron Strang, diplomat and author. Demolished 1960

Berwick Glades. Community woodland owned by the Forestry Commission. Formally farmland, tree planting on this, low-lying site has created several glades

Hacton
Means ‘farm on a hook shaped piece of land’. It is on the junction of the Ingrebourne and a tributary.
